Understanding the myriad ways that the arts improve our lives and communities and effectively communicating those benefits are critical to the success of our work and the growth of our industry. The NJ State Council on the Arts has set out to develop a knowledge management system that will enable us to collect, organize, maintain and share pertinent arts information with both the field and the community. We will gather and analyze relevant information, especially as it relates to cultural participation, impact and the public value of the arts. The Council is dedicated to building an ever-growing resource that is rich with current field research and anecdotal information that will provide the true stories of how the arts help New Jersey flourish.
